Let Catapults take the first hits.
Catapults can now protect your army’s opening attacks. Add them as tanks and let Epic Calc work out their counts alongside the rest of your army.
Turn on Use catapults as tank under Leadership, choose one to four Catapult stacks, and enter your Catapult bonuses. The calculator uses your highest unlocked Catapult tier and the tiers below it, sharing Leadership with your Guardsmen and Specialists.
Catapults are optional and off by default. Try them with your setup to see how they change your army and expected damage.

Epic Calc’s calculation engine has been rebuilt in Rust, giving it the speed to explore more army combinations and fine-tune them more thoroughly.
The result: a further 3.3% median damage improvement across real player setups compared with the previous calculator—all while keeping calculation times similar.

Entering your army is a little easier, whether you use the keyboard or copy values from the game.
- Tab moves between number fields without stopping at every help button. Press F1 inside a field to open its help.
- Paste capacities with spaces between thousands. Monster bonus fields appear as soon as you enable Dominance.
- New setups start with all three capacities enabled, including Authority for Mercenaries. Existing setups keep your choices.

More accurate flying unit bonuses
We improved calculations for armies with different bonuses and incomplete Monster research. Flying unit bonuses are now better separated from research bonuses.
- The calculator asks for the values it needs based on your available units.
- Some older saved setups may need missing bonuses filled in before you calculate again. Your other settings stay intact.
Get your recommended army faster
Finding recommended tiers is now faster for higher-tier armies. We also made it easier to spot missing bonuses and see what to enter.
- Missing required values are highlighted right in the form.
- If you do not know your bonuses against Epic Monsters, the calculator offers a clearly marked estimate. You can enter your measured values at any time; the estimate affects Mercenary limits.
